Boutiquehotel Villa Provence is located in the heart of Aarhus and offers modern facilities combined with a French atmosphere. Already in the lounge, you can truly feel how the entire hotel is decorated in a Southern French style.
Our 39 rooms all share the common feature of being individually decorated in a Provencal style, with winding chandeliers, colorful walls, extravagant embellishments, and hand-picked interior imported from Southern France. The rooms range from luxurious and spacious suites with private bathtubs to superior rooms, double rooms, and single rooms.

When you arrive at Villa Provence and walk through the gate from Fredens Tov, you enter what many describe as a little oasis in the heart of Aarhus. Our courtyard, surrounded by buildings with rooms, was created by the floral artist Tage Andersen. As a guest, you are warmly welcome to enjoy this idyllic oasis with the sound of trickling water from the fountain.
For the consideration of other guests, especially those who like to sleep with open windows in the morning, we close the courtyard at 23:00. The exception to this rule is, of course, if you as a couple wish to enjoy a summer evening in complete silence, or if you just need a midnight cigarette before bedtime. Smoking is only allowed in the courtyard.
When you stay at Villa Provence, you have the option to purchase a parking space in our courtyard for 185 DKK from 14:00 until 14:00 the following day. If you happen to arrive earlier and if there is space available, you are welcome to park your car on the premises.
The café at Villa Provence is located below the reception area, accessed by going down the stairs from the entrance at the courtyard. It may seem logical to consider the café as being in the basement of Fredens Torv 12, but from a structural standpoint, it is actually considered the ground floor, even though the windows are almost at street level.
The café is primarily used to serve Villa Provence’s famous signature breakfast, which is based on organic ingredients. Additionally, the café can be rented for meetings, photoshoots, or small events upon request at the reception.
Our cozy lounge is always available for relaxation and enjoyment, accompanied by the soothing sounds of French café music. In the lounge, we have a “do-it-yourself” drink bar where you, as a guest, can pour a glass of house wine, open a beer or soda, and mix your favorite drink as if you were in the comfort of your own living room. We kindly ask that you write your room number on the slip provided.
