Hundreds of busy people pass by Fredens Torv in Aarhus every single day. The street is lined with a wide variety of restaurants and bars, and features the iconic entrance to “Posthussmøgen”, which for many Aarhus residents is a well-known shortcut to Søndergade – also known as Aarhus’ pedestrian zone.
Although you wouldn’t know it, there is also a small oasis tucked away in the middle of the bustling city at Fredens Torv 10. Behind the bright façade and the narrow gate lies Villa Provence. A small French boutique hotel with 39 guestrooms, all individually decorated in Provencal style with ornate chandeliers, colourful walls, extravagant decorations and hand-picked interiors brought back from the South of France. The 39 guestrooms range from large and spacious suites with bathtubs to superior rooms, double rooms and single rooms.
This year, Villa Provence has once again been voted “Travellers’ Choice” on Tripadvisor. Based on reviews and opinions from travellers from all over the world, this annual award recognises the best tour companies in terms of service, quality and customer satisfaction across a range of categories.
Villa Provence has been awarded a Silver Organic Food Label by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. This means that 60–90% of all the hotel’s food and beverages are organic.
This is evident in our signature breakfast, where the vast majority of the ingredients are organic.
