Frequently asked questions

Below you can find answers to some of the questions we get asked the most frequently in connection with stays at our hotel. Among other things, you can find information about check-in and check-out as well as opening hours at all our facilities

ROOMS

  • Check in: From kl. 15.00
  • Check out: No later than kl. 11.00
  • It is possible to purchase a late check-out when you book your room online
  • Small dogs are allowed in our rooms. There is a supplement of DKK 500, this includes extra cleaning after the stay, snacks and dog bed and food/water bowl, which can be used during the stay.
  • This must be booked in advance, and can be done by contacting the reception. Otherwise we can reject your pet if we do not have any animal rooms available.
  • You can upgrade your room for a supplement.
  • On the individual room pages you can see which upgrade options are available. You can read more here.
  • It is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is therefore only allowed in our outdoor areas.
  • There will be a surcharge of DKK 3,000 / EUR 400 for smoking inside.
  • Yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the whole hotel.
  • The internet password is “12341234”
  • Yes you will find a minibar in all rooms. You will also find a fridge with cold tap water free of charge.
  • There is an “honest bar” in the lounge, where you can help yourself and write the items consumed on your room number.
  • Yes, there is both coffee and tea in the rooms.
  • Here you can brew your own coffee and prepare a cup of tea.
  • The first letter of our special coffee as well as various teas and decaffeinated coffee are free. If you want more coffee letters, they cost DKK 20.00.

No, Villa Provence is not a distinctly “Family Hotel” and we only allow one extra bed per room and thus 3 people in a room. The exception is if the 4th person is under 3 years old and can sleep in the parents’ bed.

The Hotel

  • As a starting point, our courtyard is reserved for the hotel’s resident guests.
  • If there is availability, you are welcome to buy coffee, cocktails, wine etc. and use our courtyard.
  • Yes, there is a cozy “honest bar” for resident guests.
  • Here you can make your own cocktails – there is a large selection of drinks and free snacks.
  • You simply write down the consumption in your room.

Allergies

  • Yes, our normal duvets and pillows contain bird feathers and we have synthetic duvets and pillows which are hypoallergenic.
  • Yes, we have lactose-free whole milk, oat drink and yoghurt.
  • Yes, you just have to inform the reception the day before.
  • Then we make sure that there are three different types of bread without gluten.
  • Yes, we prepare the breakfast for this with vegan yoghurt and extra fruit on the plate as well as a plant-based margarine.
  • We only have three dog rooms, which are extra clean on departure.
  • The main building with café, lounge and our “honest bar” is 100% pet-free.

Payment

  • We accept Dankort, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Note that a fee is added to some credit cards – but never Dankort.
  • Villa Provence reserves the right to pre-authorize your credit/debit card prior to your arrival. If you book a non-refundable stay, we will charge your credit card when booking.
  • It depends on the type of stay you bought and when you cancel it.

Unfortunately you cannot use a gift card for booking online, but our sweet hosts are ready by phone and email, where they can help you make the reservation.

Transport

Yes, we offer private parking in our locked yard.
The price is DKK 195 per Day.

  • Train: The hotel is a 6-minute walk from Aarhus Railway Station. You simply have to exit the main entrance and turn right down Ny Banegårdsgade.
  • Plane: From Aarhus Airport you can get to the hotel by taxi for approx. 30 minutes, as well as by airport bus in approx. 50 minutes.
  • Car: It is easy to get to the hotel by car – there is an option to purchase private parking in our locked courtyard.

Yes, right in front of the hotel there is disabled parking which is free of charge.

  • Yes, it costs DKK 150 for a charge.
  • We recommend that you move your car to another place after charging, so that there is room for other guests.

Opening Hours

  • Monday – Sunday: Open 24 hours a day
  • Closed on: December 24th, 25th, and 26th, as well as January 1st (after breakfast service for our New Year’s guests)
  • Monday – friday: 07.00 – 10.00
  • Saturday – sunday: 07.30 – 10.30
  • Closed on: December 24th, 25th, and 26th, as well as January 1st (after breakfast service for our New Year’s guests)

We only offer breakfast and therefore do not have a restaurant with lunch or dinner. But we are surrounded by great restaurants, so please ask us if you need a recommendation.
