There is something in the air, the days are getting longer and the sun warmer. Easter is a good opportunity to go on a city trip to Aarhus.
Enjoy the brighter days by strolling through the charming streets of the city, or relaxing in our patio with a Chartreuse or cold pastis.
Aarhus will dress up for another festive day when 12,000 runners occupies our streets. The day will be a celebration for everyone with entertainment and concerts. So bring your family and get rested afterwards in our comfortable beds.
Aarhus is the capital of Jutland and the second largest city in Denmark.
You will find attractive sandy beaches, large beech forests and a fascinating brand new waterfront area.
And in the very heart of the city is our little oasis Villa Provence located.
In the cosy courtyard you may enjoy a well-prepared cup of coffee, reading your favourite book while listening to the fountain softly rippling.
Right outside the gate you will feel the pulse of the city, see world-class attractions and a very charming city, which will satisfy both young and old.
Hang out in the Latin Quarter on one of the charming sidewalk cafés or coffee shops, if you do not choose to go shopping in the small cosy stores.
Complete the day visiting some of the ”secret” wine bars, before you dine on one of the city’s many excellent restaurants. The city centre offers small cosy bistros, a fantastic street food marked or if your chose to go all in, you must try one of the four Michelin restaurants.
Rent a bike and ride through the forest of Marseligborg to Moesgaard beach, see the sunset and jump in the water.
On the trip back home you may enjoy freshly cooked mussels and cool rose wine at Restaurant Seefodd at Marseligsborg Marina.
Go to the old bathhouse “Den Permanente” in Risskov.
Enjoy a fresh dip in the bay and take a walk in Risskov forest afterwards. Here it smells of fresh rams – maybe you feel like taking some rams with you home to your own homemade pesto.
End the day with a cool glas white wine or a cold pastis in the courtyard at Villa Provence.
